Dorcas Sewing Ministry, is a subdivision of Out of the Darkness, Inc. It is designed to equip women with a skill set they will be able to use as a means of support for themselves and their families. The women will use their hands to show the love of Christ in a tangible way through making items to show the love of Christ to people who are suffering and in need. Foodlink is a Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and building healthier communities by addressing both the symptoms and root causes of food insecurity. They serve as the hub of the emergency food system across a 10-county service area. As a leading public health organization, Foodlink administers many programs and initiatives that aim to build the health and wealth of communities.
They provide food assistance through the safe storage and distribution of emergency food to their network of food bank members and community partners. They build healthier communities through innovative programs that create new access points to nutritious foods and empower people to make healthy choices. They drive change through bold career empowerment initiatives and advocacy for a more just, equitable food system.

The JPC is a grassroots non-profit organization that works to create a just, non-violent community. Established in 1952, The Open Door Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian Rescue Mission founded to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of the impoverished and homeless men, women, and children of Rochester, NY by restoring hope and changing lives. It is a privately funded non-profit organization chartered in the State of New York that relies primarily upon the private donations from the community to run its programs.
First established to provide clothes, evening meals, and chapel services at the Samaritan House, the Mission's services grew to include addiction recovery programs and a Men's Shelter Program in the late 1960s and early 1970's. The Samaritan House Crisis Center continues to provide a safe, warm shelter that includes well-balanced hot meals, hot clean showers, comfortable beds with freshly laundered sheets, and blankets for up to 50 men and women each night.

Reformers Unanimous (RU) is a Faith-Based Addiction Recovery Organization bringing transformation to hurting people and communities everywhere. RU Recovery Ministries started in Rockford, IL as a local class that has expanded to churches, and institutions across the country and into several countries. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is governed by a board of directors and funded by members and people like you.

Reentry Association of Western NY (RAWNY)'s goal is to implement a Reentry Continuum of Care (RCC) model in Monroe County. Their mission is to enhance service for effective reentry from incarceration into society.
The Reentry Association of Western NY (RAWNY), a 501(c)(3) organization, has been in existence since 2005, originally known as the Safer Monroe Area Reentry Team (SMART) until 2021. It started as a volunteer grassroots member organization providing a platform for members to share information and news on reentry topics and advocate for better reentry policies. Our members include more than 50 local organizations that work in collaboration to provide direct services to people who are reentering the community after incarceration.
The Social Economy Working Group (SEWG) was created in 2012 by the Rochester-Toronto Community/University Partnership Project (CUPP). The CUPP Partnership is a cross-border consortium of Rochester, New York, and Toronto, Ontario human service organizations, colleges, and universities. The Partnership's mission is “to provide transformational capacity-building and other education services for those individuals and organizations working to build healthy, sustainable, and just communities.”

Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center believes everyone should have access to mental health care and support regardless of their insurance status or income. Their volunteer staff of therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, and advocates helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives.
Each year, over 200 people participate in one or more of their programs.

Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach, Inc. (SCPO) is an outreach ministry of Spiritus Christi Church in the city of Rochester, New York. Although SCPO is affiliated with the Church, its outreach program is non-religious and welcomes anyone regardless of religious affiliation. However, as a faith-based community, they have a strong base of volunteers who are committed to offering resources to incarcerated individuals and homeless ex-offenders. Members of their community have been visiting local jails and prisons for over 40 years.
SCPO's model of intervention in the criminal justice system results in successful re-entry after release. They seek to meet the needs of individuals who face the most challenging obstacles through direct service and community networking. They create a safe and transformative environment where individuals can make the radical life changes required to reach their personal goals. They make themselves available to each woman and man who seeks their care through every step in the journey.
The Walk to End Domestic Violence is an annual event that is free and open to the public. Every year, Out of the Darkness, Inc. supports, participates in, and contributes to the Walk Against Domestic Violence. Many of the residents know firsthand what it is like to live in abusive relationships. Fortunately, they have also learned that their lie is valuable, that God created them for greatness, and that they have been set free from violence and abuse. Every life matters!
